Over the past weeks, we have witnessed once again the violence generated by the structural racism maintained in the United Stated of America over centuries. We stand in solidarity with so many families that have lost their loved ones to a system that continues promoting violence, injustice, discrimination, and inequality among people. We are overcome with grief as we face the killing of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breona Taylor, and so many others that have been victims of racial discrimination, violence, and injustice.

As people of faith, we believe that peace and justice are possible, and we are deeply engaged in creating the necessary conditions for this to be a reality within us, in our communities, and in our nation. We strongly believe that working for justice is a necessary step toward the liberation and equality that are so eagerly demanded by our brothers and sisters.

From Amerindia – EE.UU., we express our solidarity with the social movement, to the people, and the faith communities that are demanding justice in our country and around the world. We faithfully stand with those that strive for peace and affirm with the Gospel that “they shall be recognized as children of God”.

En las últimas semanas, hemos sido testigos una vez más de la violencia generada por el racismo estructural mantenido en los Estados Unidos durante siglos. Nos solidarizamos con tantas familias que han perdido a sus seres queridos por un sistema que continúa promoviendo la violencia, la injusticia, la discriminación y la desigualdad entre las personas. Nos vence el dolor al enfrentar el asesinato de George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breona Taylor y tantos otros que han sido víctimas de discriminación racial, violencia e injusticia.

Como personas de fe, creemos que la paz y la justicia son posibles y estamos profundamente comprometidos en crear las condiciones necesarias para que esto sea una realidad dentro de nosotros, en nuestras comunidades y en nuestra nación. Creemos firmemente que trabajar por la justicia es un paso necesario hacia la liberación y la igualdad que tan ansiosamente exigen nuestros hermanos y hermanas.

Desde Amerindia – EE. UU., expresamos nuestra solidaridad al movimiento social, al pueblo y a las comunidades de fe que exigen justicia en nuestro país y en todo el mundo. Estamos fielmente con aquellos que se esfuerzan por la paz y afirman con el Evangelio que "serán reconocidos como hijos de Dios".
